On S6 Parents' Day, the Partnership Relationships Team organised a series of meaningful activities to enhance parent-child communication before parents met with class teachers.
In the lead-up to the event, S6 students reflected on their exam performance and shared their thoughts and feelings. On Parents' Day, parents had the opportunity to read their children's reflections and respond with encouraging messages in writing. This thoughtful exchange opened up a heartfelt dialogue between parents and their children.
Additionally, S6 students wrote down their dreams and the things they most appreciated about their parents, which were displayed on a board. Parents were able to gain insight not only into their own child's thoughts but also into the perspectives of other young people.
The activities provided a valuable platform for parents and children to better understand each other, fostering deeper communication and connection.
