On the seventh of December, nine senior form students from the debating team participated in the 'CityU Discovery & Innovation Debating Challenge' at City University. It was a whole day event where students were introduced to facilities in the campus including a 3D printer, lectures by professors and a debating workshop. In the afternoon, three of our students competed against St. Mark's school and won. We were the champion in our division and were awarded a trophy and certificates in the award ceremony. Debaters in the competition included: Ravleen Sidhu (4S), April Berago (4R), and Bhupinder Sigh (4S). The best speaker was Ravleen. The motion of the debate was that "Occupy Central and similar movements do more harm than good". Our school was the affirmative team. Other participants included: Sristi Gurung (4R), Himshikha Gurung (4D), Matthew Woo (5M), Eric Wong (5M), Laxmi Limbu (4S) and Sima Limbu (4S).Click here for more photos / video.
