The 5-Day Osaka and Kyoto (Japan) Study Tour was held from 12th April to 16th April 2014. The purpose of this tour is for students to: • learn strategies and policies to protect and develop traditional values, cultures and architecture in Japan; • explore the development of Osaka and Kyoto as international cities under the challenge of globalization; • examine waste management facilities and strategies; • discover the Japanese heritage of Kyoto and Osaka; and • learn about Japanese cuisines and culture.
