To enable students to learn more about Chinese history and culture, the Chinese and Chinese History Department organized a Northeast China 7-day History and Culture Study Tour from Thursday, July 14 to Wednesday, July 20. 18 students from S2 to S4 and 2 teachers joined the trip which included the following learning activities and visits to places of interest: • Visit cities of Lushun, Dalian, Shenyang, Changchun, Harbin, etc; • Visit Port Аrthur, Mukden Palace and Ancient Street of Qing Dynasty; • Visit the Former Residence of Zhang Xueliang and the 9.18 Historical Museum; • Visit the Russian Style Street and the Korean Style Street; • Visit the Eight Major Bureaus of Manchukuo and the Museum of the Manchu State Imperial Palace; • Visit the Museum of Manchu Culture; • Visit Mount Changbai, the Heaven Lake, and the northern slope and waterfalls of Changbai; • Visit the Stalin Garden, the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Harbin and the Harbin Alexeyev Church.Click here for more photos / video.
