To arouse students’ interest in English public speaking and provide a platform for them to showcase their talents, the College once again organized an “Inter-Primary Schools English Speech Competition” as part of the Open Days, which was held on November 26 and 27. It was a valuable opportunity for students to learn from each other and at the same time enhance their English speaking skills and self-confidence. The competition was comprised of two categories: Prose Reading Competition (individual) and Solo-Verse Speaking Competition (individual). More than 500 students from 47 different primary schools participated in this event. The adjudicators were impressed by the participants’ outstanding performance. Immediate feedback was given to the participants so that they could learn from such a valuable experience. The competition came to a climax when the prizes were presented to the winners.
