The College has always believed in providing different learning opportunities for students to widen their horizons. From November 25 to 28, 36 S1 students together with 4 teachers went on a 4-day cultural study tour to Sichuan.
The trip was packed with educational activities during which students had a taste of another type of learning experience outside of the classroom. For instance, students visited some places of interest such as the Ancient Town of LuoDai, the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project and Sanxingdui Museum to get a better understanding of the cultural and historical background of Sichuan Province. They went to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to see different species of wildlife and learn more about wildlife and environmental conservation. Students also had much fun watching face-changing at Sichuan Opera and doing traditional tie-dye at a DIY workshop.
The tour was a valuable experience for all. It provided an opportunity for students to gain insights into the culture, history and economic development of China.
