It was another relaxing Friday Afternoon when the Australian world fusion musical group “Akoustic Odyssey” visited our College and gave a performance for our junior form students on May 19.
“Akoustic Odyssey” is a four-member band founded in 2005 in Adelaide. It plays original music which fuses Mediterranean musical styling with rock, Baroque, Latin and jazz. During the mini-concert, all the students were captivated by the band’s amazing performance as they played various pieces on an acoustic set consisting of guitar, bass, cello, violin and percussion. The concert came to a climax when some students were invited on stage to jam music together.
Everyone enjoyed the concert. It truly broadened students’ horizons in music and enhanced their music appraising abilities. Some of them even volunteered to attend a music workshop by the band afterwards.
