2017-07-03 Talk on the Rule of Law
As part of the College’s moral and civic education, the Social Science Department invited students from the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong to give a talk to our S4 and S5 students on July 3. The talk gave an overview of the rule of law in Hong Kong, which is a topic covered by the Liberal Studies curriculum, with a focus on “selective enforcement”. We are honoured to have invited Professor Benny Tai Yiu-ting to say a few words to our students about his perspective on this issue.
The talk not only raised students’ awareness of the political issues in Hong Kong, but also helped them develop independent and critical thinking, paving the way for them to be responsible global citizens.
