As part of our continued effort to enhance teachers’ professional development, two training workshops were organized for our teaching staff on August 30.
In the morning session, representatives from Apple Education Development conducted a workshop for us on utilizing mobile technology in the classroom. Teachers were briefed on the skills in using the latest Apple apps to make lessons more interactive and engaging. Many of them subsequently enrolled in the Apple Teacher Programme to receive continual pedagogical training on e-learning. In addition, to facilitate professional exchange among colleagues, some of our teachers shared with others various useful education apps, as well as their experiences in integrating Virtual Reality into lessons.
In the afternoon session, teachers attended a workshop on positive discipline conducted by Ms Karina Wong and Mr Tong Kowk from Karrina PD Workshop and WiseFun Limited respectively. Through various interactive activities, they acquired useful techniques in building a close bond with students so as to nurture their positive values and empower them to reach their potential.
The training workshops were all well-received by the teachers, who have now become better equipped to address the academic and developmental needs of our students.
