The ECA Promotion Day was held on September 12–13 in the school hall. It was a good opportunity for students to get to know more about the various extra-curricular activities in the College, including academic clubs, interest groups and uniform groups. It also offered a platform for S1 students who are new to the school to get an overview of the clubs before they make a decision on which one to join.
On that day, the committee members of each club collaborated in setting up a stall and designing relevant games and promotional materials for the event. They also helped to promote the clubs to students and answer their enquires. It was really a valuable learning experience for students to enhance their communication skills and leadership skills.
This year, a “Most Popular Club Competition” was held during which students were asked to vote for their favourite club. After a round of fierce competition, the Psychology Club was finally awarded the “Most Popular Club” in the school.
The ECA Promotion Day was a great success. We believe that through participation in extra-curricular activities, students can acquire knowledge and skills that cannot be easily developed in a classroom setting. Apart from having a more enriched school life, they can explore their interest and develop their potential in non-academic areas.
