To equip students with relevant information so that they can better plan ahead for their further studies and future career development, the College’s Careers Prefects arranged a series of lunch-time talks at school for S4 and S5 students in May.
Representatives who are experts in respective fields were invited to be the guest speakers, including local full-time illustrator Peichung and popular Youtuber Pomato. They talked about their day-to-day work and shared with students how they tackled challenges in the pursuit of their career aspirations. Dr Chiu, Associate Professor of the University of Hong Kong, was also invited to give our students a briefing on the various Economics programmes offered by the institute, as well as the related admission requirements.
The talks were well-received by the students, as they got a chance to learn more about different industries and gain useful insights for their career exploration. Our Careers Prefects, on the other hand, also found it a rewarding experience. They were actively involved in planning and organizing the event, from brainstorming topics to liaising with the speakers and producing publicity materials. It was really a valuable learning opportunity for the students and we were proud of their achievement.
