The Careers Team arranged a sharing session for S6 students by Dr Moorhouse Benjamin from the Faculty of Education of the University of Hong Kong on October 18. The main aim of the activity was to help S6 students have a better idea on how to write an attractive personal statement and to clear up any misconceptions on university admission requirements.
During the sharing session, Dr Moorhouse gave students advice on setting academic goals, and how to present themselves holistically in both their personal statements and during the interview. He also illustrated the connections between a student’s course choices and how these choices would help students towards their professional goals.
It was a valuable opportunity for the participating students to learn more about what universities are looking for in students and be better prepared during the JUPAS selection process.
