Our students Jemima Badajos, Agnes Wong and Chloe Catolico from Class 5M participated in the VPET Promotion Competition 2020 lasting from January to April in 2020 and the team was awarded the overall Championship.
This competition was organized by Corporate Tech Academy Network (CTAN) requiring students to conduct market research and formulate marketing strategies to help promote VPET programmes spanning various industries.
The competition consisted of two rounds. In the first round, our team had to write a promotional article about VPET which was received very favourably, sending us to the second and final round on 25 April. Due to the pandemic, the competition could only be held virtually on ZOOM with a panel of judges from corporations in CTAN and the three School Heads Associations of Hong Kong.
Our students were tasked with promoting the VPET programme for the “Aviation Industry”. The team’s creativity was on full display when they presented to the judges the logo, the mascot, the slogan, and a multi-media audio tape closely knitted to the marketing strategies that they were proposing. In a well-rehearsed eight-minute presentation, followed by Q&A, the team presented beautifully and blew away the judges with their eloquence and innovative ideas.
The students, together with their teacher, Ms. Muriel Weng, had worked very hard for many months and the College is incredibly proud of their achievement. The team will receive their Championship trophy together with a cash prize of $3000 at the soon-to-be-held prize presentation ceremony.
