On April 16, 2015, the JohnChen Ensemble performed for us and had a jam session with our students. The representative of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, Professor Joshua Chan from the Hong Kong University also visited our College and encouraged our student performers. 1E Elizabeth played the trumpet and 2C Carson played the oboe with the Ensemble. The JohnChen Ensemble focuses on creating, performing and promoting original world music with a unique Hong Kong style. Members of the Ensemble come from very different musical backgrounds, and by applying musical ideas and instruments from the East and the West, they can fuse the different music cultures seamlessly into what is truly 'Music Without Boundaries'.
