We are thrilled to announce that Karndeep Singh of 6R, former President of the Student Council Orion (2021-2022), was among five students from local and international schools in Hong Kong who received The Student of the Year – Best Devotion to School award 2021/22.

The Student of the Year Awards, organized by South China Morning Post and sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club, is a prestigious annual event that aims to give secondary students the recognition they deserve for their superb talents in language and art, accomplishments in sports and IT, and outstanding contributions to their schools and the community. Karndeep was awarded the prize for his commitment and dedication to the school as a responsible student leader and for being an exemplary role model, who worked relentlessly to organize school- and online-based activities for his fellow schoolmates despite the challenges brought by pandemic. At the prize presentation ceremony held at the Shangri-La Hotel on 23 July, Karndeep received a scholarship worth HK$5,000, a plaque and a certificate.
